# ferpa — profile guide (SKETCH — unproven; no repo has run it)

Projects FERPA onto the neutral slots: `basis.*` = the disclosure
ground (consent, a §99.31 exception, or directory-information
designation); `terms.*` = the written agreement behind a
school-official disclosure; `retention.*` = the records
retention/destruction rule (direction commonly FLOOR — education
records are often preserve-then-destroy). `Special` marks education
records demanding heightened handling. Known gaps this sketch does
not yet enforce: the annual-notification stem and the
directory-designation facet — add them when a FERPA repo exercises
this profile.
